ABOUT ECOLAWN
45 years of locally owned excellence in lawn care
Your trusted partner for a lawn you'll be proud of
You deserve a lawn that reflects the pride you take in your home—one that’s thick, lush, and free from unsightly weeds and brown spots. If you’ve been frustrated with companies that treat you like a number, ghost your back yard, or apply one-size-fits-all chemical treatments, we understand. Your lawn should do more than just look good temporarily; it should give you soft, green grass you can wiggle your toes in season after season, year after year. Our approach develops deep roots that retain moisture far below the surface and enriches your soil with organic nutrients, creating a beautiful lawn that improves and becomes more resilient over time.
Our Immutable Laws: How we serve you
These six core values are the foundation of everything we do at Ecolawn. They aren’t just words on a page—they’re principles we actually live by every day. We hold ourselves, our clients, and our vendors to these standards. We carefully select employees, clients, and vendors who share our commitment to these values. We believe alignment with these principles is essential for successful long-term relationships.
Listen and ask questions.
Your goals are unique, and you’re treated individually—never as just another stop on the route.
Provide only the best service.
We go above and beyond to exceed your expectations, not just meet them.
Follow through and own our role.
If we say we’ll do something, it gets done—and if something isn’t right, we fix it.
Do the right thing, every time.
Even when it’s harder, we choose quality over shortcuts for your long-term lawn health.
Pay attention to the details.
From closing gates to moving furniture, it’s the little things that make a big difference.
Practice humble vulnerability.
We share our knowledge openly and learn from you too—creating a partnership, not just a service.
How We're Different
- We build soil health and root depth, not just treat symptoms. Most lawn companies don’t even talk about roots, but we know the secret to a truly beautiful lawn starts underground. See why deep roots matter >>
- We’re career professionals, not seasonal workers. Our team members are licensed, educated professionals who take pride in their work and build relationships with our clients year after year.
- We care about the details. Our technicians move patio furniture, close gates, and provide both written and emailed summaries after each visit explaining what we did and what to watch for.
- We educate, not just service. We believe in teaching our clients why our approach works, not just doing the work. When you understand the science behind healthy lawns, you become a partner in the process.

Our Story
Ecolawn’s journey began in 1977 when Don Zerby recognized that Northeast Ohio homeowners needed a lawn care provider who truly cared about results, not just promises. For more than 45 years, we’ve built our reputation by treating every property as if it were our own.
What separates us from the competition is our attention to detail and commitment to doing things right. For the past 12 years, we’ve been recognized through the STARS safety training program as the nation’s top safety program for the landscape industry.
Community Service
For nearly 20 years, we’ve proudly helped organize and participate in Renewal & Remembrance at Arlington National Cemetery. This special volunteer service project brings hundreds of landscape professionals from across the country to this hallowed ground. Together, we provide mulching, lightning protection for trees, irrigation improvements, pruning, liming over 150 acres, and soil aeration—all to honor those who have served our nation. It’s an incredible experience that reminds us of the importance of giving back and using our expertise to care for places of national significance.
